Matthew is one of two children born to Jim and Doris Norem, and was raised in the small village of Bryant, Wisconsin. Home was next door to the family business; and as with most family-owned businesses, Matthew helped.
Bryant was a great place to grow up. Established as a company town during the logging boom, it was the community center which over the years slowly dwindled in size. It has been said that Bryant today has a population of 80, if you count the dogs and cats. Located in the middle of potato fields, Bryant was close to everything a growing boy could desire. It was a short bicycle ride to nearby fishing holes, swimming lakes, and woodlots; and the potato fields offered vast starlit skies for the young dreamer. Bryant enabled the idyllic youth desired by many.
However naive, Matthew eventually headed off to college, where he met and subsequently married Janis. Married since 1977, they have two grown children. Janis is a Registered Nurse at a local hospital. As a two income household you will find them sharing all aspects of the “fun” in managing the home; everything from dusting to doggy duty.
After 22 years in industry, and having received several commendations for providing exceptional customer service, corporate downsizing enticed Matthew to pursue his real estate interests on a full time basis. You can rest assured that he will continue to provide you that same quality service.
Matthew also believes in giving back to the community, and to that end is active in the stream restoration efforts for Trout Unlimited, a member of the Mayor’s Task Force on Sustainability, and serves as the Chair of Evangelism at his Church. In his spare time, you might even find him in his vegetable garden. A holistic thinker, Matthew wants to make sure you receive the best information available for the best decision making possible.
